About Richard “Rick” Frank Lagasca III

Richard “Rick” Frank Lagasca III, 64, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026.

Born on August 26, 1961, in Springfield, Illinois, Rick was the first child and son of Richard and Wanda Lagasca. He grew up in Glendale Heights, Illinois, and graduated from Glenbard North High School with the Class of 1979. He eventually settled in Arizona, where he built a successful career in executive sales within the electronic design automation (EDA) software industry.

Rick was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was his three daughters: Stephanie Keever and his twin daughters, Jillian and Julia Lagasca. He treasured every milestone, celebrated their accomplishments, and took pride in the people they have become. They brought him immense happiness and countless cherished memories.

An avid chess player, Rick enjoyed the challenge and strategy of the game and never passed up the opportunity for a friendly match—one he almost always won. He also carried his love of music with him throughout his life. A self-taught guitarist from an early age, he joined a band in high school, where he formed lifelong friendships. He was always searching for new music and found great joy in sharing his latest discoveries with family and friends.

Rick will be remembered for his sharp wit, his love of music, and his enduring passion for Chicago sports. Above all, he will be remembered for the deep love he had for his three daughters, who were the center of his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Richard Lagasca (Barb); his sister, Renee Koch (Toby); his daughters, Stephanie Keever (Jesse), Jillian Lagasca, and Julia Lagasca; his cherished grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Lagasca.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
