A Life Remembered
Obituary
Natalie Wood McCutcheon, born on September 6, 1960, went home with Jesus on the night of Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Natalie was surrounded by her children and grandchildren that evening, along with her brother Richard, sister-in-law Gwen, and her husband of 39+ years, Patrick.
Natalie has a wonderful sweet spirit, and her eyes and her smile were beautiful sights to behold. She is filled with kindness, love, and always thought of others before herself.
Born in Montebello, California to Lewis (Tink) Wood and Dolores Hanson Wood, Natalie was soon to move to Scottsdale, Arizona, where she would spend the rest of her childhood.
Natalie is a graduate of the old Paradise Valley High School, where she was a member of the Pom line. She continued to be physically active her entire life, performing aerobics at home or at her gym four to five days each week. She passed this love of fitness on to her family, as all of her children were involved in sports.
Natalie received her Purchasing Management degree from Arizona State University and began working as a Capital Equipment Buyer for a Mesa defense contractor, where she reconnected with and soon married Patrick McCutcheon on April 18, 1987 at Grace Community Church in Tempe AZ. After marrying, Natalie and Patrick spent most of their lives in Gilbert, AZ.
Natalie and Patrick have three children and three grandchildren. Natalie chose to stay home and raise her children, rather than continue working away from them. She passionately devoted herself to their education, spiritual development, and extracurricular activities, homeschooling them until they reached High School.
Natalie loved working around the home and had a gift for home décor and landscaping. She meticulously curated a warm environment in every home she lived in.
Natalie is preceded in death by her father Lewis “Tink” Wood and mother Dolores Hanson Wood. She is survived by her husband Patrick McCutcheon, daughters Amy McCutcheon, Dr. Julie Beirow McCutcheon (husband Jared Beirow), son David McCutcheon and three grandchildren; Sydney McCutcheon (14), Lucas Bethel McCutcheon (7), and Elijah McCutcheon (10), as well as her brother Richard Wood and sister-in-law Gwendolyn Wood.
There will be a burial service on Tuesday 11/3/26 at 11 AM and a celebration of Natalie’s life on Saturday 11/14/26 at 11 AM. Both events will be held at Gilbert Memorial Park, 2100 E Queen Creek Rd, Gilbert AZ 85297. Lunch will be served after each event.
