A Life Remembered

Obituary

We are saddened to announce the passing of Jessica Lynn Luongo.

Jessica, a devoted mother, sister & daughter is survived by her son Nichloas, along with her parents, Patricia and Charles Lopez, and her two brothers, Gregory & Joseph, her niece and nephew Cassidy and Jacob, in addition to her large extended family including here numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Jessica, passed away peacefully in her home on June 12, 2026.

Inspired by her family's passion for music and creativity, Jessica knew from a young age that she wanted to build a career in the arts. Through the years, she has created many beautiful pieces that our family continues to cherish.

After earning her B.A. from SUNY Purchase in New York, Jessica knew exactly where her heart was leading her, Arizona. Jessica grew fond of Arizona as she visited with family over the years and settled in Gilbert.

Combining her passion for the arts with her love for children, Jessica found her true calling as an art teacher with the Chandler Unified School District. A gentle, kind, and nurturing soul, she inspired countless students through her creativity and encouragement. Jessica’s warmth and dedication touched many lives, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Lord, please bring comfort, renewed hope and strength to those who are suffering from a great loss. Amen.

Jessica, it seams like yesterday that my children (Michael, Julianne & Alison) would drive to Mohegan Lake to spend the day with you and your family. We were so may Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and all we did was laugh, swim, fish, ice skate and walk along the lake's shore and swing on the swings in the playground. Or we would go to the pool and enjoy swimming and Bar B Q there and have so much fun. We also had Lobster Bakes and it was all our families driving to a Connecticut Beach and enjoying our time together. You were the oldest Cousin and the most fun to be with. You would play basketball, one one one with your Cousins, in your drivay and beat everyone. If I remember the only person that had you could not beat was Uncle Lou. You were an artist back that a I remember seeing your art up on the wall of your home Years have passed, miles in between us apeared and we saw and talked less, however my Love for you will always be with me. May God Bless You, Your Family and Everyone you have touched. Rest in Peace!

My heart breaks as I write this!! Oh Jessica you're such a loving soul. Growing up together on Mohegan lake New York. Meeting at our bus stop at 8 Am starting in 8 th grade and all through high school talking about the best summer nights we had the night before. Life was so easy in the 80's felt like a dream. We would swim to the dock on lake Mohegan watch the sunset then play flashlight tag all night with the Mellets and our crew. You were such a great friend and great at keeping secrets. We will always hold you close to our hearts. We love you. Mohegan Lake Crew forever. I will see you again. With all my love Brad Cirincion 💞🙏.

I had been struggling a lot in middle school due to issues within my old friend group. However, I never knew I would meet the greatest art teacher I've ever had during those two years. Being in Mrs. Luongo's class helped me realize that other people genuinely enjoyed my artwork, and I had a lot of fun having chill and playful conversations with her. I was deeply saddened when I found out she had passed, as I haven't interacted with her for over 2 years (despite wanting to), and I'll always regret not taking the time to drop in and say hello when I had the chance. Rest in peace Mrs. Luongo, I'll never forget the impact you made on my life
