About Christian Davis Smith

Christian Davis Smith, 34, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.

Christian was born on July 1, 1992, in Los Angeles, California, to Charles D. Smith and Carla Langley. He spent his childhood between Los Angeles and New Jersey before attending Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010. He graduated in 2014 with a degree in Economics and went on to build a career in finance, ultimately becoming a Bank Manager at Capital One in Scottsdale, Arizona. Christian was proud of the career he built and was always looking for ways to grow. At the time of his passing, he was completing his MBA and was expected to graduate in December.

While Christian accomplished many things in his life, his greatest joy was his family. He met his wife, Ariannah, in college, and what began as a college relationship grew into a life they built together. They married in 2020 and welcomed their son, Cameron, in 2022. Family was at the center of Christian’s world, and he took immense pride in loving, providing for, and supporting them. Christian and Ariannah are expecting their second son in December, a future he looked forward to with so much love and anticipation.

Christian was a devoted friend. He was intentional about maintaining meaningful relationships and made an effort to be present and supportive for the people he loved. He was the oldest of seven siblings, and took pride in being a big brother and role model. Christian had an adventurous spirit and a genuine curiosity about the world around him. He was a self-proclaimed foodie who loved trying new foods and discovering new places. He enjoyed traveling, playing video games, and reading comics. He also had a huge soft spot for animals and somehow managed to become every pet’s favorite person in the house. Christian had a big heart, an infectious personality, and a natural ability to bring warmth and laughter wherever he went.

Christian will be remembered for his humor, his loyalty, and the immense love he had for his family and friends. His love will continue through his children and the many family members and friends whose lives were made better simply because Christian was in them.

Christian is survived by his wife, Ariannah; his son, Cameron; his parents, Carla and Charles; and his siblings, Chaz, Dominique, Chayce, Chandler, and Alexandria. He is now reunited with his brothers, Hunter and Rome, who passed before him.

A Memorial Service will he held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11:00am at Gilbert Memorial Park 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85297.

My deepest condolences to Charles and the entire Smith family. While I did not know Christian personally, through my work with Charles I have come to deeply respect the strong family values he embodies. From reading about Christian’s life and the beautiful tributes shared here, I can see that he carried those same values and was deeply loved and treasured by those around him. May God bring comfort, strength and peace to his wife, children and entire family. May his soul rest in peace.

Sending much love and condolences to the Smith family. Knowing the Spirit and ethos of the Smith family I'm confident in saying this is a temporary goodbye, and that we'll brother Christian again when we're called home by our good and gracious Lord. I pause to keep The Smith family in prayer and I'm sending much love.
