Annie was one of my first childhood friends and I have wonderful memories of her. We reconnected when she first became ill. She is now at rest and I will always be grateful for her presence in my life. Many condolences to her beautiful family. She was a very special person, and will be missed by all of us.

To my brother in law Rudy and his and Annie's children Jeff, Megan and Matt, your mom was an exceptional and extraordinary lady. She was a no muss no fuss lady with a beautiful mind and a personality to match. She was the first of our family to go to college and graduate from ASU with a major in Education and minor in business. She graduated from Miami High School, Miami, AZ with honors. She went to Girls State when I was only around 8 years old. I always looked up to her and she looked after me, her baby sister, over the years when I needed it. She believed in taking care of her own and then some. Annie you fought a good fight, and you never gave up, you always sought after all the information you could to make the best decision for yourself and your family. Annie you taught children who couldn't speak English well as a second language, you united people in doing this and you touched their lives. You supported your family and children in all the aspirations and academics they could achieve and to follow their dreams, including me, for that I am thankful. Annie I will miss you but I know that you are now healed and whole, with mom and dad and your son Eric. I know you will be waiting for all of us when we pass through those Golden Gates and we will celebrate together and laugh and love once again like we did here on earth. Sister I love you, I will miss you and I will think about you every day, "what would Annie do?" is what I am thinking and I will hear your voice and it will comfort me. If I know you, you will ask Jesus to let you help us or give us signs every now and then that you are watching over us even still. Love you sister.

I wish I could've gotten to know her more as a person and as my aunt, she was so beautiful and intelligent and did so many great things like teach and have a beautiful family. I can't wait to meet your daughter someday in person.
